This document describes how we, Meritop Inc., collect, store, and use your data when you sign up for and use our application.

1 Information We Collect

When you first sign up, we may collect the following personal data:

If you are a potential employee, you may choose to upload your resume, and must provide the following information:

If you are an employer, you may create job postings in the app. For each job posting, you must provide the following information:

We may store logs which are generated by our software whenever you use our application. These logs are for internal use: we use them for the purpose of improving our software. Some of these logs may contain your personal data. These logs are retained for at most 30 days.

2 How We Use Your Data

2.1 Internal Use

Meritop Inc., and employees or subcontractors of Meritop Inc., may use your data internally for the purposes of improving our software.

2.2 Notifications

Meritop Inc., and employees or subcontractors of Meritop Inc., may use your email and phone number to communicate with you and send you notifications.

2.3 Matching Employers and Employees

Meritop Inc., and employees or subcontractors of Meritop Inc., may share your information with an employer/potential employee, for the purposes of matching employers with potential employees.

3 Third Parties

We will never sell your data to, or share your data with, any third parties except as outlined above. Specifically, the only third parties which we may share your data with are employers (if you are a potential employee), potential employees (if you are an employer), and government authorities for the purpose of reporting abuse/fraud, or as is otherwise required by any law.

4 How We Store Your Data

Our application is cloud-based. All of our databases are located within Canada. Your personal data is always stored encrypted. We always build our infrastructure and software with security as a top priority.

To ensure the security of your data, you should always abide by security best practices. Below is a non-exhaustive list of good security practices:

It is your responsibility to keep safe your email, password, and phone. If you do not abide by security best practices, we cannot guarantee the security of your data.

5 Deleting Your Account

You can delete your account in the settings page of our application. Deleting your account is irreversible, and any data which is deleted during this process cannot be restored.

We guarantee that all personally identifiable information (including your name and contact information) will be fully deleted no more than 30 days after you delete your account.
