This Terms of Use (the “Terms”, the “Agreement”) establishes a contractual relationship between the User (“you”) of the GetWorkCanada application (the “App”) and Meritop Inc. (“Meritop”, “we”, “us”). By accessing and using the App, you agree to be bound by the Terms. You may not access or use the App if you do not agree to the Terms. We may terminate the Agreement with you and deny you access to the App at any time for any reason.
We may amend these Terms from time to time. Any such amendments will be effective immediately upon our posting of the new Terms. You agree to regularly check for amendments to the Terms. If you continue to access or use the App after an amendment, this constitutes your consent to be bound by the amended Terms.
Our collection, storage, and use of your data and personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By accessing and using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understand the Privacy Policy. We may amend the Privacy Policy from time to time, and such amendments will be effective immediately upon their posting. You agree to regularly check for amendments to the Privacy Policy. If you continue to access or use the App after an amendment, this constitutes an acknowledgement that you have read and understand the amended Privacy Policy.
Subject to the Terms, Meritop Inc. grants the user a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App.
The App is the intellectual property of Meritop Inc. You may not reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, resell, or reverse engineer the App or any portion of the App. Any infringement on Meritop’s intellectual property may result in the immediate termination of this Agreement and your access to the App.
You may only use the App for the purposes outlined within this Agreement. You may not use the App for the purpose of attempting to gain unauthorized access to another individual’s account or data, attempting to gain unauthorized access to Meritop’s infrastructure, attempting to disrupt the App’s operation, or any other illegal or abusive behaviour. If we detect such behaviour, we may immediately terminate this Agreement and your access to the App, as well as report the incident to the appropriate authority.
Use of the App requires a computer or mobile device with an internet connection. We do not guarantee that the App will function on every device. You are responsible for obtaining a device and maintaining an internet connection for the purpose of using the App. We are not responsible for any charges that may be incurred as a result of your internet connection.
Using the App requires an internet browser with JavaScript support. We cannot guarantee that the App will function on every browser and/or operating system. The App will not function if JavaScript is not supported or disabled in the browser.
You consent to receiving communications from Meritop Inc. and the App via email and/or phone. You agree to regularly monitor your email account for these notifications.
In order to fully access the App, you first need to create an account and complete the registration process in the App. You may only create one account in the App.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account.
The registration process requires you to submit your full name, email, and phone number; if you are an employer, you must also submit your organisation name and business address. You will be able to update this information in the App after registration is complete. You agree to maintain your account so that the information is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
You are responsible for any access to your account. You agree to keep your account email and password a secret. You may not grant any other individuals or third parties access to your account.
After completing registration, you may delete your account at any time from the settings page of the App. Doing so constitutes a termination of this Agreement. Meritop Inc. may retain certain data related to your account; our data retention polices are described in the Privacy Policy.
When you create your account, you must specify whether you are seeking work, or are an employer seeking employees. If you specify that you are seeking work, you acknowledge that you reside in or are planning to immigrate to Canada, and are seeking employment in Canada. If you specify that you are seeking employees, you acknowledge that you are a Canadian employer and are seeking employees in Canada.
We do not provide any guarantees that you will be matched with an employee/employer. You acknowledge the possibility that you might not be matched with an employee/employer.
If you are a potential employee, you will never be required to provide payment for using this service.
If you are an employer, you may be required to provide payment once a match is found and you agree to hire them as an employee. The details of payment will be agreed upon after the match is found, and before you hire the employee. We do not guarantee that the employee will be hired by you after the match is found. The hiring of the employee is contingent on you and the employee agreeing on the terms of employment, and on your providing payment to us.
In order to use this service, we require you to provide us with certain information through the App; the details concerning what information we collect, and how we use it, are outlined in the Privacy Policy. We may also contact you and ask for additional information. You agree to always provide information which is accurate and truthful, whether you are providing it through the App, or providing it during any communications with us.
